Hannah Shi

Hannah Shi, a freelance writer and event organizer, was born in October 17, 1967, in Inner Mongolia, China. She studied Chinese Language and Literature at Lanzhou University, graduating in 1989. Since then, Hannah has built a diverse career, working with newspapers, PR firms, and NGOs in China, including as a project lead at World Vision.

In 2004, she founded the Beijing Xinyili Love Family Cultural Company and the Central Plains Children's Home.

After moving to the U.S. in 2006, she taught Chinese in San Francisco, promoting Chinese language and culture. Later, in Maryland, she co-founded an art and design association to support immigrant artists in the Greater Washington, DC area. Hannah now resides in Albany, New York.
