Soo Lin was born in Singapore, and began her career with the Singapore Ministry of Education.
Lin furthered her study in the United States in 1984. Since her graduation from East Carolina University, she has worked in a long career of interpretation for numerous U.S government agencies, corporations and institutions. She enjoys volunteering with non-profit organizations dedicated to education, community, and the arts. She has had publications in poetry and participated in musical performances in Asia and the United States. She is also a former mentor and liaison for the immigration courts in the Washington metropolitan area.
Currently the director of Administration at Waada, Lin is a passionate advocate for building diversity, equity and creating cross-cultural activities. She holds the Bachelor’s degree in Music and Mathematics, and a Master's degree in Music Education from ECU, and completed the Applied Linguistics Education Certificate Program at Georgetown University.
